1 Turn off (O)the printer and disconnect the AC power cord.
2 On the back of the printer, remove the two screws and the blank cover plate
positioned next to the main RS-232 and parallel interface connectors.
3 To remove the side panel:
• For the
XiII-, XiIII-Series, and 105SL, remove the screws and remove the left
side panel.
Caution • This installation must be performed by a qualified service technician.
Caution • Turn Off (O) the printer and disconnect it from the power source before
performating these procedures.
Caution • Observe proper electrostatic safety precautions when handling any static-
sensitive components such as circuit boards and printheads.
Tools • These are the tools you need for the installation:
